Hello and thank you so much for your interest in Get Waist Laced! My name is Teysha and I am the owner of this humble company. By day, I'm a wife, mother and healthcare professional. By night, I unwind by creating beautiful custom pieces of jewelry to adorn your waist. I love the confidence that the right strand of beads can give any woman. One thing I've learned during this journey is that it doesn't matter if you are a size 2 or a size 22. Nor does it matter if you had multiple children or you haven't had one single child. We all have areas of our bodies that we wish were more perfect. But the truth is- there is no such thing as perfection, so it's up to us to learn to love the skin we're in, compliment ourselves and uplift each other. After all- Queens Uplift Queens! How do I measure my waist?
Place the tape measure tightly around your waist at the place you'd like your beads to rest. Take your waist measurement at least 2-3 times to ensure that it is accurate. For monitoring weight loss, the tape measure should usually be placed 1/2 to 1 inch above the navel so that the progress can be assessed. (As weight is lost, the beads drop lower on the waist. When weight is gained, the beads climb higher on the waist.)
How do I place my order?
After measuring your waist, add your preferred items to your cart. Before completing your order, BE SURE TO PUT YOUR WAIST MEASUREMENT IN THE SPECIAL NOTES SECTION AT CHECKOUT.
Can I exercise, shower and swim in my beads?
Waist beads can be worn during normal daily activities. Many people shower, swim and exercise in their sets. However, please be reminded that moisture, soap and chemicals may decrease the quality/appearance/color of the beads.
Are all waist beads made of elastic?
There are 2 options for waist bead sets : elastic strands or wire. To place on the elastic strands, you simply step into them and pull them up to the desired place on your waist. You can also choose to add barrel clasps on your elastic strands if you'd like. All wire strands come with barrel clasps.
What material are the waist beads made of?
The strands are made of an elastic cord. Excessive pulling/tugging on the strands may cause them to become misshapen. There is also the option to have waist beads placed on wire instead of the elastic stretch cord. The beads used are made of glass. When putting on your set for the very first time, they will feel very cold on the skin, but they will quickly adjust to the temperature of your body. Accent crystals and beads range from stones, to coconut shells.
Do waist beads have healing properties?
Waist beads have been worn for centuries and different strands, colors, stones and powders have been used to transform them into creations of beauty and healing. Some of the crystals that are placed on the strands have been used to help alleviate a wide array of conditions, including but not limited to communication, love, depression, discernment, courage, anxiety, fear, balance, intuition, compassion, hope, positivity, confidence and fertility. The crystals we currently have in our inventory are amethyst, clear quartz, rose quartz, black jasper, leopard jasper, green malachite, carnelian, lapis lazuli, blue aventurine, tourmaline, fluorite, white howlite and blue white sodalite.
What is the return policy?
Please ensure that you have followed the proper protocol for measuring your waist to ensure that your set fits properly upon arrival. All sales are final and no refunds will be given. If you have any questions about measurements, please do not hesitate to inquire before purchasing your strands.
How long will it take to receive my strands?
All orders are shipped within 5 to 7 business days of receiving payment and waist measurements. Due to high demand and availability of products, if there is ever a delay- you will be notified within 48 hours of placing your order.
